The Legacy Companies, a NAFEM Member, Donates to Feeding America to Support Second Harvest Food Bank.
Weston, FL (August 27, 2020) – The Legacy Companies, a leading food service manufacturer and consumer appliance company, donated spices and seasonings to Second Harvest Food Bank through the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) 2020 collaboration with Feeding America.
The Legacy Companies donated an assortment of over 10,000 packages of spices and seasonings to the Second Harvest Food Bank through the Feeding America Organization. Second Harvest Food Bank serves over 325,000 people throughout 7 counties in California. By collaborating with non-profit organizations, the Second Harvest Food Bank distributes over 12 million pounds of supplemental groceries to families and individuals suffering from food insecurities.
Feeding America is a nationwide organization with a mission to feed the hungry through a network of food banks. It is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to engage and connect people with food to end hunger for over the last 40 years.

NAFEM is collaborating with Feeding America, to support their network of 200 member food banks and matching all NAFEM member donations of funds, food and volunteer time to Feeding America member food banks. The NAFEM match is up to an additional $500,000 over their initial contribution of $500,000, thus creating the opportunity to reach a total contribution of $1,500,000 nationwide.
